2022 powerboat racing season is ready to kick off in Fujairah, UAE with the first round of UIM XCAT World Championship this week end.
After successfully concluding 2021 UIM XCAT World Championship season with a 2nd position overall with Victory Team, Erik Stark will be racing at the GP of Fujairah with Swecat Racing Team, the Swedish team he raced with for 5 years, from 2015 to 2019.
Three months after the last round of 2021 XCAT World Championship held in Dubai, Erik Stark is physically and mentally ready to go back on water.
"Unfortunately Victory Team won't be joining the first round of the championship, but I'm happy to be racing with my old team alongside driver Sebastian Groth. The package that we have will allow us to fight for 7th-8th position but of course we will try our best to achieve the best placement! It will be difficult to defend my 2nd position in the championship but I will never stop fighting and believing! In the end I'm very glad to be back racing and I have fun and that's what truly matters!" - Erik Stark
