ERIK STARK FINISHED SECOND IN THE YEAR'S FIRST GRAND PRIX IN INDONESIA

Erik Stark finished second after 30 dramatic racing laps in Lake Toba, Indonesia.

Erik, who qualified in second place, overtook first place Jonas Andersson at the start, but because a boat crashed during the first lap, a restart took place from the original positions. Erik was behind Jonas Andersson throughout the race and managed to overtake him just before the finish line but was also then overtaken by Rusty Whatt who did his first F1H2O race and finished first.

- I made one of my best starts ever in my career and it was really frustrating to have to give up the position on the restart. But that's the rules and overall I'm very satisfied with my and my team's effort this weekend, says Erik Stark.

Erik won sprint race 2 and is now second in the world cup with 25 valuable points.

The next race will take place in Vietnam March 29-31.
