ERIK STARK REMAINS AT THE TOP OF THE F1H2O WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Updated: Feb 7

The Swedish racing star Erik Stark retains his second position when the third F1H2O world championship round is completed in Powerboat racing  this weekend in France.

Erik, who competes for the Dubai-based Victory Team, finished in fifth place and took home seven important points in the World championship fight after a qualifier where some technical problems with the boat meant that he started in number seven.

- I feel super satisfied with the weekend and the important points I took home for me and the team. It was one of the hardest races I have run with many boats on a short and narrow course, says Erik Stark.

The French Grand Prix took place in Mâcon on the river Saône. The 1500 meter course was placed between two bridges and with quays along the long sides, which resulted in a tight race when all 20 racing boats would line up.

The Swede Jonas Andersson took home the victory and leads the F1H2O World championship.
